SHRM Foundation

The SHRM Foundation is a values-based charity organization whose mission is to champion workforce and workplace transformation by providing research-based HR solutions for challenging inclusion issues facing current and potential employees, scholarships to educate and develop HR professionals to make change happen and opportunities for HR professionals to make a difference in their local communities. The SHRM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizational affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management.

The SHRM Foundation's work includes:

  • Strategic thought leadership initiatives. The SHRM Foundation is focusing on initiatives that include the aging workforce, engaging and integrating military veterans, and building an inclusive culture.

  • Scholarships.  In 2018, the SHRM Foundation will award more than $500,000 in support to students and HR professionals seeking undergraduate, graduate, certification, recertification and professional development opportunities.   • Awards.  The SHRM Foundation presents awards annually to exceptional HR professionals, students, academics and researchers. Check out this page to learn more about the awards that the Foundation gives out and their past recipients.

So how can you get involved with the SHRM Foundation?

  • Donate. There are many ways that you can suppor the Foundation. Donate now to transform lives!

  • Volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, you can click here to provide your current contact information and areas of expertise so that they offer you relevant volunteer opportunities. The majority of their projects are short-term, 1-3 weeks, and are done virtually, with communications via email

  • Sponsor. Partnering with the SHRM Foundation is mutually beneficial – the SHRM Foundation receives the support necessary to advance work to fulfill our mission and the sponsor receives partnership benefits and positions itself as a leader in the HR profession.
