Staying current on management practices is critical for the successful HR professional to remain a relevant business partner and add value to the greater business discussion. The goal of this session will be to highlight 20 management topics trending in books, blogs and Ted Talks.

Join us for a whirlwind of fun as we cover culture, coaching, teams, retention, salary and benefits, and other intriguing topics!

About our speaker:

Nomi is an esteemed member of the Howard County HR Society Board of Directors, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Human Resources for the American Institute of Physics. You can find her on LinkedIn here.

This topic was envisioned and extensively researched by our presenter. The presentation was delivered in Quebec City, Canada to an international audience for the annual Council of Engineering and Scientific Executives meeting. A modified version was also delivered to students of the Management and Organizational Society at the University of Maryland, Kelly Business School.

Thank you to this month's sponsor!!!

As a firm that specializes in retirement planning our mission isn’t to be all things to all people, like many of the large Wall Street banks and brokerage firms.

Rather, by focusing on serving the needs of people who are retired or approaching retirement, we have become the trusted adviser to individuals and families whose concerns might include distributions from retirement accounts and other sources of income, e.g. social security, portfolio management, estate planning, long term care & insurance and charitable giving strategies.

We are pleased that our Blog, Answers About Wealth™ have been ranked in “Top 100 Most Social Financial Advisors in the United States” by BrightScope, followed by being ranked as the “Top 50 financial Blog and Bloggers”. These accolades underscores our ongoing commitment to provide financial education across a variety of topics, as well as trusted advice by our network of professional advisors.
