The Fourth Industrial Revolution, also knowns as technology revolution or Industry 4.0, is dramatically transforming the way people and business operate. What is the role of the Human Resources function as this technology-driven revolution unravels? How does HR address people operation’s challenges (talent management, employee experience, contingent workforce, collaboration among generations in the workplace) with technology to remain a relevant business function in times of disruption? How does HR have to go about its own transformation in times of disruption? What are the opportunities for HR to add increasing value using technology? During this talk, I will address how technology is impacting the workplace and Human Resources. I will also speak about the four core values for HR of the future: putting people first, aligning people and business, becoming more agile and leveraging technology. I will specifically focus on the fourth core element: how HR should go about leveraging technology to become more effective and human-centric.
