The Tina L. Pavlish Memorial Scholarship for Dynamic Leadership

Tina Lynn Pavlish was a champion of the Howard County Human Resources Society chapter from 2007 until her untimely death in 2018.  She represented our chapter at the state and national levels.  She loved to describe our chapter as a “Dynamic Chapter” and she personified dynamic leadership within our chapter.  Tina was a leader in our chapter, serving as President-Elect, Nominations Chair, Programs Chair, Professional Development Chair, and served on other committees including Programs and College Relations.  If there was a need in the chapter, Tina was there to fill it.

Tina loved the HR profession and sought out ways to contribute professionally and personally to the HR profession.  Pursuing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees were a source of tremendous pride for Tina.   Tina graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1995. She continued on with her higher education, working as an adult learner to obtain her master’s degree in Human Resources from University of Maryland University College in 2005.  Tina believed strongly in education to further her goals and the profession that she loved.

The Tina L. Pavlish Memorial Scholarship for Dynamic Leadership honors the life and passion for Human Resources that Tina exhibited.  In her memory, the Howard County Human Resources Society has created this scholarship which supports the mission and values we stand for, and what Tina embodied, Advancing the HR Profession and Serving the HR Professional
